Lund Calling 2009

EU as Global Actor - Lund Calling 2009, an international event in association with the Swedish Presidency of the European Union, will be a unique arena for policy makers, experts and practitioners in education and training, wants to bring the imperative implementation of Education for sustainable development into both the European context of lifelong learning and the European expression of key competencies.
The conference will address these critical questions in an interactive, holistic, cross-sectored and hands-on way. With the local and regional perspectives as point of departure and UNESCO’s recently adopted “Gothenburg Recommendations on ESD” as a guiding star, the conference programme will be diverse in expression but interlaced in content. The conference will include keynotes from leading decision makers, inspiring lectures, interactive seminars, case-based workshops, study visits and an RCE exhibition fair – all interwoven with entertainment and receptions.
The conference is offered by The International Programme Office in cooperation with the City of Lund, Lund University and Region Skåne. The conference will be held in the City of Lund in southern Sweden, September 28-29, 2009.
